Job Description: Embroidery Video Content Creator (Remote Contractor)

We are looking for a talented and confident Embroidery Video Content Creator to join our team! Our company specializes in beginner-friendly embroidery kits that include a unique, step-by-step video experience, designed to help customers learn and enjoy the creative process.

The heart of our business is about progress over perfection—we want our customers to have fun and feel empowered as they complete their kits. As a Video Content Creator, your primary role will be working alongside Julie to create engaging, easy-to-follow instructional videos to guide our customers through their embroidery projects, ensuring they enjoy every stitch.

This is a remote position, so you'll need your own studio setup and the ability to confidently explain and demonstrate embroidery techniques on camera. We’ll provide guidance and training on our style and sequence of videos, ensuring you feel supported and aligned with our brand. Plus we’ll help with the technical side of getting you set up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Fun & Engaging Video Tutorials: Film yourself stitching embroidery kits, providing friendly, step-by-step videos that focus on progress, fun, and enjoyment rather than perfection.  See sample videos below for examples.

• Confident On-Camera Presence: Explain techniques clearly while stitching, creating an approachable and encouraging environment for beginner embroiderers.

• Studio Setup: Maintain your own recording environment with proper lighting, sound, and camera equipment to produce high-quality video content.

• Collaborate on Video Content: Work closely with our team to ensure the videos align with our brand’s goals and values. We will provide training and guidance on the specific style we are looking for.

• Occasional Prototyping: Assist with stitching prototype patterns as needed to help finalize our pattern kits.

Requirements:

• Embroidery Expertise: Strong understanding of embroidery techniques and a keen attention to detail, especially with beginner-friendly projects.

• Fluent English Speaker: Excellent spoken and written English skills to communicate clearly and effectively with our customers.

• Confident in Front of the Camera: Comfortable demonstrating techniques on camera while maintaining an engaging and supportive presence.

• Studio Setup: Ability to set up and maintain your own recording space with reliable equipment (camera, microphone, lighting) for clear and polished video production.

• Remote Work Flexibility: This is a remote contractor role, so you can work from anywhere in the world as long as you can meet deadlines and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent stitching skills.

• Previous experience creating instructional or tutorial videos is a plus.

• Familiarity with basic video editing is helpful but not required.

Contract Details:

• Role: Independent contractor, 30-40 hours per week but flexible.

• Location: Fully remote.

• Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and project scope.
