It wasn’t the same one pictured here but all the same it was a delightful surprise that I could do so much and after a couple of goes at the bullet stitch I could do it, quite confidently, it was an enjoyable experience

This is the kit that started it all for me! I had been wanting to learn embroidery as a way to relax and force myself to slow down in my hectic life. And also because my late Mom used to embroider and sew and I never bothered to learn from her while I had the chance. So I just did some general Google searches and bought a “beginner” kit on Amazon because it was cheap. I tried, but with no instructions, terrible supplies and no help, I failed miserably and felt like I just wasn’t ever going to be able to do this. Enter Clever Poppy!! I chose this kit because it seemed like a good place to start and it was so pretty! I put the other kit aside and decided to give this a chance and see what happened. I am SO glad I did! Julie’s videos were exactly what I needed to get a good, solid foundation in embroidery. I learned all the things I didn’t even know I didn’t know when I was trying to do the other kit. I saw how high quality supplies make a world of difference! And I quickly developed an unbounding JOY for embroidery and especially for Clever Poppy! What a magical company this is!! Julie is the BEST teacher! She could get a rock to embroider a beautiful pattern, I’m sure! Excellent products, excellent customer service, excellent supplies, excellent value, excellent designs and most importantly excellent teaching! I’ve gone on to create several more kits, I’ve joined the Makers Academy and I’m gifting kits to several friends and family this Christmas. I’ve learned a new skill, I’ve gotten the calm, peace and joy back into my life, I’ve reclaimed my down time and reconnected with memories of my Mom, and I’ve made some beautiful art! Very fun pattern

I stitched directly onto a shirt for my baby! It turned out precious, and the tutorials made it so easy!

This is the cuttest and most helpful beginners kit to learn the embroidery stitches. The tutorial videos were so simple to follow.

My mom taught me a bit about embroidery as a child and the videos brought every memory back. The videos were extremely easy to follow. Having control over the playback speed and being able to pause meant I could truly work at my own pace. I really enjoyed the rainbow sampler!

My daughter was inspired by watching me do my own pattern through Clever Poppy and begged me for one. She really enjoyed this patterns and completed it with ease!

Every year I make a plan to learn something new. This year it was embroidery so I ordered this beginner kit. It has been a wonderful experience! You just watch the easy-to-follow videos and before you know it you actually are embroidering! The experience has been so wonderful that I am already looking at purchasing another kit.

I have not done embroidery for several years and I was thrilled to find you kits. I changed the colours so that they reflected more perfectly with the rainbow. I had fun doing this and I have purchased more kits.

Bought as a gift and I am sure they will like it, but I was very upset to find it had been shipped from China so will not be buying again

Both my daughters love this kit. It is challenging for them, but love the video tutorials which are very well done and walk you through everything step by step. Once they’ve finished a stitch, they feel very proud of themselves. Highly recommend!

I thought I was getting a kit to learn stitches. I got a blank piece of fabric and instructions on how to transfer the image (I did get the thread)
