I love maybe Happy Beginner kit. I was so happy that it came with a great pair of scissors and needles! Plus the videos you can watch - all fantastic! Love it all!
Clever Poppy is one of my favorite shops! I love how easy the kits are to use and I learn so much through the videos. Julie and team are wonderful and the customer service is amazing. I hope to see some more experienced patterns come to the shop.
Shopping is easy and delivery to Australia was fast. The tracking is also great so I can see when I will be receiving my purchases.

I am so happy I found Clever Poppy. As a long time cross-stitcher, I’ve wanted to try embroidery but never had the confidence to try. I bought two beginner kits and am now completely hooked! The designs are wonderful, and the tutorial videos are amazing. I do not believe I’d be this successful without Clever Poppy.

I recently ordered the Advent Box from Clever Poppy, and due to a banking error I ended up getting 2 on my doorstep! Needless to say, I didn’t need two, but was really doubtful I could get it resolved since the error was on my end. Well, that was not the case at all! I have never dealt with a company that was so prompt, kind and understanding as Clever Poppy! Shout out to Mikaella, who kept in constant contact! I would recommend this company 110%. They truly care for their customers, and work very hard to make sure their customers are satisfied!

Shopping was easy enough. Disappointed more with th product and the fact that for the price it does not come with a booklet. I had to print out the directions from online.

Instead, we provide a downloadable stitch guide that you can view digitally or easily print at home if you prefer having a physical copy while you stitch. Top notch customer service! I had an unfortunate event where my dog got a hold of my package when it was delivered. I reached out, panicking, because I was worried my dog ingested something harmful. The response was quick and thorough with a detailed list of everything the package contained. They even offered to replace the items that were destroyed for only the cost of shipping! With their help, I was able to determine the dog simply shredded stuff and didn’t actually eat any of it. I’m very grateful for such a positive experience.
Clever Poppy is the best of the best. They teach in the perfect way; absolutely anyone is able to follow along. The kits contain more than what you need and everything is such great quality. But what really sets them apart is their customer service. Every single email I’ve sent has been answered within 24 hours and by a real person. I couldn’t find a template for a pattern and it was in my email within minutes.
Their Facebook group is outstanding as well. I posted a question about the pens and the team saw and contacted me personally. They made the issue right and followed up after the fact. I hadn’t even reached out to them about the problem yet they saw I was having one and contacted me. How many companies can you say that about?
My only negative, and I don’t even consider it a true negative, is I wish there were more mature designs. I adore all the patterns, and with the Makers Academy you have access to so many more, but I’d love to see more design options. I’d love more landscape or realistic designs; and more experienced level patterns in general.
Clever poppy feels like that childhood friend you keep for your entire life. We’ll be old ladies sitting on the porch stitching together. And there’s no place I’d rather be!
Excellent way to try embroidery for the first time. The instruction videos are easy to follow, and I’m enjoying it.
I like the fact that everything needed to complete the project has been carefully included. I would prefer having the pattern preprinted onto the fabric. I have hand tremors and found it difficult to trace the pattern.
My zipper was broken when I received my item. I reached out to customer service and never heard back.
